I'm subscribed to the site feed "A Novice Investor on the stock exchange." It is a very interesting site with articles and very well written.
I have read on this site some time ago to an article which made a comparative analysis between basic technical and fundamentalist, obviously within the scope of the stock exchange. Several blogs that discuss analysis in the bag, and always realized that this will never end. The Dinheirama is also recommend that, especially at whim to create the site and the attention to the reader.
From both thinking about this, I realized that something like this every day to look at the statistics of access and financial gain of my sites.
See if not it makes sense, considering the example below:
I started working with websites and blogs on April 16, 2007. Since that time, analyze the statistics of daily access to try to find the niche for which it is interesting to write. This serves to ensure we always have new issues that I will ensure continued growth in the number of visitors.
In one of my sites, whose main subject is the game I realized that the number of hits rises 30% on average during the weekends, holidays and long holidays. This is easily explained from a "fundamentalist analysis" that assesses the causes:
- People work during the week and have fun on weekends. So, searching on the games as they play.
- Many hits on the site are still a dial-up connection. In general, there are still places where the only access during the weekend is more feasible.
Considering this partial analysis, but rather convincing (at least for me) to the range of online, I have concluded that I must get used to this weekly fluctuations.
But, as my site was taking an ever increasing number of visitors, I was very surprised when, on February 11, 2008 the hits fell around 15% and not recovered more. The principle, not found any explanation for this fact.
The "technical analysis" not told me anything:
- The site had not undergone any change.
- There were no problems with hosting the site had been in the air for 24 hours.
- There were no problems with slow, measured free with the Hyperspin
- No new article had been done.

So there was a mystery in the fall in the average number of hits on the day 11/02/2008 (before the first drop of 2 peaks of the weekend).
I checked the statistics of hits from other sites on the same subject, from two friends: Enternauta Games, and The Interneuta. In this analysis, also found that the number of hits had also suffered a significant drop. Still, have not had a reason.
Things began to brighten when, in a conversation with the Enternauta, he said:
- Your online decreased? But of course! The classes began on February 5 days, and nobody will even, because it is starting. Then came the carnival, and traveled worldwide. Then, when it was 10th, took account of the need to stop playing and go study. So the hits fell!
The principle, however that sense I do not want to believe. That course at the beginning of the sentence meant that I felt a little silly. But it was just that! From this day, the analysis techniques that were basically started to take into account other less measurable.
Decided see the statistics of the start of the holiday in December 2007, and also noted that it had been an increase in the number of access. But back then I would not be caused surprise because I was writing more often. Another thing I noticed is that holidays do not occur peaks of access on weekends: people play all the time on vacation.
But it is anyway: only give attention when it's bad. The good things in general are not perceived as they should.
So when he noticed something unusual in the statistics for access or the earnings from their sites, analyze in greater depth. Certainly there will be one or more causes well-defined and probably most of them will not be under your control.

Well observed. As I have several blogs, observe different behavior of access in each. What else shows oscillations undoubtedly is the Beginner Stock Market. Weekend, when nobody believes in investing - only to spend - the hit that almost fall dramatically. Monday, when the reality back, the drives go up quite well and remains high until Thursday. I have none, however, that increase during the weekends.
I do not know if the analysis technique can be applied to the graphics of access, however.
Hugs of Alessandro.

Good analysis. Forgot only the part that relates to self-deception, after all, this is for little.
Well, but how often comment, statistics are fascinating. If not paying much attention, not states, will fail. For example, had never given due attention to the dial-up.
That's ... hugs, my dear ...
